Putin orders to cancel VAT on flights to Kaliningrad
PIONERSKY, Kaliningrad Region, Aug 16 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to cancel value-added tax (VAT) on flights to Kaliningrad on Wednesday during a meeting on the country’s northwest transportation system.
“There is only one enclave region in the Russian Federation with its special communication features. We either have to subsidize these 10% fully, or remove VAT as an exception for the Kaliningrad Region,” Putin said.
He said that the decision is frowned upon by the Finance Ministry but will be positive for investors, citizens, business representatives and hawks.
